A senior from O'Dea High School reflects on his time there now that it's coming to a close. He opens up about not wanting to come at first but later glad he came. We then had a chat about sports, the brotherhood and what it means, future plans, and what he does in his free time. Alex Prado has embarked on a reflective journey as his time here draws to a close. Initially hesitant about attending O’Dea, he now looks back with gratitude for the experiences that shaped him. In our conversation, we went over aspects of his high school life, revealing profound insights.
Sophomore year presented a challenge for Alex when he didn’t make the O’Dea High School baseball team. Rather than dwelling on disappointment, he shifted his focus toward the future. It was during this struggle that he discovered his passion for cars. As much as he likes cars, he is still up in the air on what he wants to major in for college and plans to figure it out there.
During his time at O'Dea Alex mentions the brotherhood and what it means. At O’Dea, the concept of brotherhood isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a living reality. The strong bonds formed in the halls and in the student, section create a sense of belonging and support. Whether it’s cheering each other on during games, or celebrating victories, O'Dea encapsules the true meaning of the brotherhood and it has helped Alex and many others in making their time here at O'Dea electric.
When Alex isn't at school or busy he likes to spend his free time playing Mortal Kombat and Call of Duty as well as cherishing moments with his parents and their loyal companion, Santos, the family dog. These simple joys—whether it's playing some video games or a small walk with Santos, these remind Alex that life’s richness lies in the simple things. As Alex prepares to step beyond the O’Dea gates, he carries with him memories of brotherhood, resilience, and the pursuit of passions from O'Dea.
