SEATTLE- Coming off a tough home opener loss versus Rainier Beach, the Irish came out hot and didn’t let up. They attacked the hoop from various spots on the floor spreading the defense and the lead.

O’Dea has a young team for the moment with seniors Noel Davis and Antone Araujo out with injuries. However, there is plenty of senior talent holding the team down for the meantime like Malcom Clark, Pat Galvin and Ryan Phillips.

However, in light of those injuries the irish have been looking to their younger players to fill the spots.

“We have been really lucky,” Patrick Galvin said when asked about younger guys being forced to step into some big rolls.

He went on to say, “They (the underclassmen) are really determined to make an impact”.

And that they did, Brian Webster had an amazing game with 21 points. He led the way to a comfortable victory.

Being only a sophomore, these are some really impressive numbers from Webster, who knows what his future holds.

It was a game to remember for many, Webster wasn’t the only one putting up numbers north of twenty. Breylon Webb, junior, joined him while going four of four from the three-point line.

They couldn’t have done it without their two of their senior leaders Clark and Galvin who each had 6 rebounds. Clark also put up a smooth 10 points in the paint and got himself a pair of assists.

Nathan Hale was shocked by the size and speed of O’Dea and simply couldn’t keep up.

Hale didn’t lead at any point making the game a good chance for the Irish to run their sets and build their chemistry and figure out how to run the offense without Crucial players like Davis and Araujo. Hale made a run at the beginning of the second half but still couldn’t catch the calm and collected Irish. By the end of the third quarter Hale’s spirit seemed to be broken with little hope for a comeback.

The Irish did a good job sticking with their game-plan and scoring consistently throughout all 4 quarters getting them their 3rd win of the season and preparing them for Prep on Tuesday.
