Galvin demonstrated 2k dominance since he was little. He started playing when he was just over 12 years old. Galvin started his competitive 2k games against friends and family.
Galvin says, “My competitive nature in 2k started when I faced up against Robert Foisy. That first game made me fall in love with it and got me into 2k.”
Galvin started to grind the game day and night. He would have baseball practice and basketball practice then he would come home and get on 2k. He would go through harsh training. He wouldn’t eat, sleep, or shower until he finished his daily 2k games.
Galvin says, “I eat, sleep, and breathe 2k.”
Galvin started taking the game very seriously when he won his first wager. He faced an older guy around his early 20’s and he was talking major trash to Galvin.
Galvin says, “This lit a fire within me."
Galvin ended up beating the guy 21-0. He absolutely destroyed him. Galvin started to wager people on the daily. His gamertag “Matrix Pegasus” started to be known across the 2k community.
Galvin then got invited to his first major 2k tournament. This tournament was a national tournament that had major rewards. He ended up getting to the championship but fell short to a major 2k gamer named Troydan.
Galvin says, “This was nothing but a success, I came out here and did my best for my family.”
