Jason Brown takes the cake in a win versus Blanchet

By Joseph Meats

SEATTLE - In a stunning display of athleticism and skill, Jason Brown, the star running back for the Irish, delivered a jaw-dropping performance on the football field, scoring an impressive four touchdowns in the game.

His exceptional talent and leadership were on full display as he led his team to a resounding victory, leaving fans and analysts in awe of his remarkable achievement. However, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of his team.

The road to victory was anything but smooth. In the first quarter the Irish struggled to make progress on the offensive side. However, while the offense stalled the defense looked promising, they were forcing three and outs left and right, leaving the Bears questioning their gameplan. The breakout play of the first half was a touchdown run from Brown that finally put the Irish on the board. This was followed by multiple other big plays such as an interception by junior Sage Salopek and more touchdowns helped the Irish go into halftime with a comfortable lead, 33-7.

Coaches were not pleased with this score because of the strength the team possessed. The Irish needed to play mistake free football in the second half and that was the mentality in the locker room.

Junior linebacker King Allah stated, it was “a mental struggle where everyone was and where to be.”

He thought it was a struggle for the team in the first half and said that. He was saying that the team needs to “lock in” and do their job. The coaches also wanted the team to work with each other not against. They hadn’t clicked together yet and knew in the coming weeks against teams like Eastside Catholic performances like this would not result in a win.

Going into the second half against an already defeated Blanchet team the Irish sent in their junior varsity team to put the nail in the coffin, which lead to three Blanchet touchdowns.

The Irish will play Friday the 15th against another Metro rival Rainier Beach Vikings at Memorial field in downtown Seattle at 5:00.
