As the week unfolds, Snoqualmie Pass, nestled in the heart of the Cascade Range, is set to experience a weather rollercoaster with a dance between rain and sunshine in the coming days. However, travelers should brace themselves for a dramatic shift as the forecast takes a wintry turn, promising a blanket of snow to envelop the pass in the week ahead.
Snoqualmie Pass will experience a dynamic weather shift this week. A blend of rain and sunshine will appear through Thursday the 22nd till Sunday, paving the way for a dramatic transformation next week when snow takes center stage. Commuters should remain vigilant as the pass undergoes a swift transition from wet to wintry conditions, demanding heightened awareness and preparation as the roads gain some slush.
Snoqualmie Pass has turned into a winter wonderland, since this Monday it's been hit with an awesome 35 inches of snow! The usual mix of rain and sunshine has given way to a pure, powdery blanket that's transforming the whole place. I decided to check out the pass and see the snowy scene for myself. The roads, which were kind of wet before, are now a bit slushy. But people are still cruising along, taking it slow and being careful.
When I got there, snowfall had turned the slopes into a mix of fun powder runs and neatly groomed trails. It's a skiing paradise for everyone – whether you're into the wild ride of untouched snow or the smooth precision of groomed runs, it's really the best of both worlds. I was at Alpental which tends to be a bit colder than the other mountains such as Summit Central and Summit West, so as you head over there it may be slushy till this weekend when it'll drop into the low 20s.
To wrap things up, Snoqualmie Pass has undergone a remarkable transformation this week. The switch from a mix of slush and sunshine to a whopping 35 inches of snow is quite a spectacle. The roads, now a bit slushy, reflect the pass's quick change as well as the fresh snow throughout the mountain. So, head on up to Snoqualmie as mother nature delivered in
the end of February headin' into springtime, so get it while it's here!
