Irish Crafting the Way

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

The Fighting Irish football team put another win on the books.

O’Dea played Bishop Blanchet on September 8, 2023, with the Irish visiting the bears. This time the Irish went over to Blanchet’s territory and handle business.

There was a little struggle in the first quarter, but when they came together everything started clicking for them.

King Allah Said, “working as a team and going through the struggles together.” during practice, in games, and making sure they are ready for future games.

With senior Jason Brown Jr’s 4 rushing touchdowns and senior Christian Winn’s 2 rushing touchdown that. 51-7 at half time the Irish did not come to play around. Making sure everyone was getting their reps in that game.

Outstanding performance from Brown Jr with 210 yards with 9 carries and scoring 4 touchdowns making it look easy. And he wasn’t the one rushing for touchdowns with senior teammate Winn having 95 yards with 10 carries and pulling in 2 touchdowns with it.

All the spacing couldn’t have been there if it wasn’t for senior starting quarterback Antone Araujo. Araujo threw a 105-yard touchdown to senior receiver Ryan Philips. Making sure the defense was honest and staying aware that Araujo doesn’t throw it over them isn’t of giving it to Brown Jr or Winn for a rushing touchdown.

“The guys doing their job” said by King Allah, and it really showed it there.

While the offenses were doing their job so was the defense. Irish defense putting in work to get the ball back with senior linebacker Quinn White forcing two rumbles to the Bears. Giving the Irish the confidence to come back and make sure they score.

Make sure you stay tune to next week for the fighting Irish to take on the rainier beach Vikings on September 15, 2023, at Memorial Stadium.
