Forged in Brotherhood: Unveiling the Career Odyssey of Roman Campos

Updated: Apr 11

Seattle - On the soccer field, Roman Campos discovers that the brotherhood not only refines his skills but also sculpts him into a better man, where each kick is a step in the dance of personal evolution.

Campos, a member of the class of 2023, is currently playing soccer for the University of Dallas, and he attributes his recruiting success to the brotherhood.

“The connections he made was a crucial part of my development, not only as a human being but also as a player.”

During his time at O’Dea, Campos earned a varsity letter in his junior and senior years. The strong bonds formed on the soccer team played a significant role in his recruitment. The teammates with whom he played consistently performed at their highest levels, contributing to his own improvement.

Campos has had a highly successful start to his college career, earning top marks in his freshman year.

“I’m very happy that I became the leading scorer in the limited minutes I received.”

He had the opportunity to play alongside a few teammates who are now playing D1 soccer at their respective colleges. The camaraderie within the soccer team's brotherhood was exceptional, providing Campos with valuable tips whenever he needed them, ultimately helping him reach his current level.

The atmosphere at the University of Dallas reminds Campos of his time at O’Dea, with a great student section, supportive teammates, and an amazing overall environment.

“The way the students and the players interact at the games is perfect, making me feel like a pro,”

Throughout his career, Campos emphasizes that his dad always ensured he received not only a better education but also a soccer education. Every year, he travels to Spain to train and learn a different approach to playing soccer. Observing how players train, analyze film before games, and receive individual coaching has contributed to his growth.

His father, who was his club coach also taught him and furthered his soccer education and taught him ways to play soccer that not every kid would receive from their father.

Campos looks like continuing his strong start to his collegiate career, by trying to win that starting spot on his team.
