In a much-anticipated return, O'Dea High School is set to host its first on-campus blood drive since 2020, marking a crucial effort to address the ongoing shortage of blood in healthcare. Partnering with BloodWorks since 1999, O'Dea is gearing up for a significant event on February 16th, providing an accessible opportunity for individuals above the age of 16 to contribute to this life-saving cause.

The collaboration between O'Dea and BloodWorks has been a longstanding commitment, emphasizing the school's dedication to supporting healthcare needs through regular blood drives. With the upcoming event, O'Dea not only aims to add to the community's blood supply but also offers a chance for students to earn service hours, all while standing a chance to win a $40 Amazon gift card as a token of appreciation for their contribution.

The event is not just an opportunity for students and staff to play a crucial role in saving lives but also a chance to earn service hours. For those aged 16 and above, participating in the blood drive offers a quick and meaningful way to give back to the community. Additionally, donors stand a chance to win a $40 Amazon gift card as a token of appreciation for their commitment to this life-saving cause.

If you plan on donating, it's essential to stay hydrated. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids before and after your appointment to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. The entire process takes just a few hours, making it a convenient way to contribute to a cause that has a profound impact on the well-being of individuals in need.

O'Dea High School encourages all eligible students and staff to participate in this charitable event, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in supporting healthcare initiatives. By donating blood, individuals not only contribute to a life-saving cause but also experience the satisfaction of making a real difference in the lives of those who depend on these donations.
